Ms. Preeti V. Sinha, a Co-Founder of Samarth India Trust, holds a Master’s degree in Rural Development and brings over five years of rich experience in the development sector. Her expertise spans pre-primary and elementary education, particularly in foundational literacy and numeracy, maternal and child health, and governance.
She has worked extensively with adolescent girls, focusing on sexual and reproductive health, career development, and livelihood skills. In addition, she has led initiatives to promote financial literacy among women and girls, empowering them with knowledge and confidence to make informed choices.
Ms. Sinha also has deep experience in monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL). She plays a crucial role in building the capacity of human resources, mentoring and shaping the careers of young professionals, especially girls and young women in the field of development.
Her vision and leadership continue to inspire collective action towards equity, empowerment, and sustainable change.

Ms. Kumkum Devi, Founder and President of Samarth India Trust, is a dedicated social leader with over five years of experience in the development sector. She has actively worked on critical issues such as reproductive and child health, adolescent well-being, gender equality, and education.
With an academic background up to the intermediate level, she has translated her knowledge into grassroots action, mobilizing and empowering communities in Hamirpur. Under her leadership, more than 30 women’s and girls’ collectives are actively engaged in driving change, building awareness, and strengthening community voices.
Her commitment lies in creating an inclusive and equitable society where women and girls can access their rights, opportunities, and dignity.

Rani Devi has been a tireless grassroots leader for over two decades, working at the intersection of organic farming, women’s economic empowerment, and community resilience. In the drought-prone region of Hamirpur, Bundelkhand, she has mobilized women to address the pressing issues of drought, migration, and malnutrition.
Her most impactful initiative has been the creation of village grain banks—a lifeline for marginalized families. By providing wheat free of cost to the poorest households during times of scarcity, she not only ensured food security but also fostered a culture of collective responsibility and solidarity.
In recognition of her remarkable contribution, Rani Devi was felicitated by the former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. Today, her work stands as a model of community-led resilience in agriculture, inspiring sustainable solutions in one of India’s most climate-stressed regions.

Mrs. Sandhya Devi is a Co-Founder and the Treasurer of Samarth India Trust. With over four years of experience in the development sector, she has been deeply engaged in addressing critical issues such as community health, water resource management, and gender equality in Hamirpur district, Uttar Pradesh.
Recognized for her enthusiasm and leadership, Mrs. Devi plays a key role in strengthening the organization’s mission and mobilizing communities towards sustainable change. Her commitment and active involvement have made her a trusted leader, inspiring women and families to work collectively for a healthier and more equitable future.

For over two decades, Mrs. Prema has been at the forefront of empowering women in Hamirpur, Bundelkhand. Her tireless efforts have focused on ensuring women’s active participation in MNREGS (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme), securing wage equality, and promoting safe and dignified working conditions for women laborers.
She has been a strong advocate for women’s rights within MNREGS, challenging discriminatory practices and raising her voice for fairness and justice. Through her leadership, many marginalized women laborers have gained access to equal opportunities, safer workplaces, and recognition of their contributions.
